Trevor Mason Becomes Power’s First Newcomer of the Year

After enduring a riotous flurry of hiring activity throughout most of 2017, Power’s Management and Human Resources teams were allowed to take a breather during the holidays. But with the New Year come more jobs to fill and talent to recruit. And first across the 2018 new-hires finish line is: Trevor Mason, Associate Client Engagement Manager, working for Power client UTC on the Lenel and Interlogix accounts.

Trevor comes to power straight out of college, having recently graduated from Bellarmine University, majoring in communications with minors in marketing and art. He gained relevant on-campus experience with Alpha Delta Gamma, serving in a leadership role on the fraternity’s executive board as Vice President of external affairs, which involved inter-organizational communications and event planning. He also acted as web master, social chair and PR chair for the fraternity.

An internship, which ultimately led to a part-time job at Louisville’s Maverick Marketing and Media, provided Trevor with still more experience in his chosen field of endeavor. There he assisted with creating website content for agency clients. Trevor says he most enjoyed learning to fly a drone and using it to shoot 4K high-definition video for clients.

Here at Power, Trevor’s job as Associate CEM finds him sustaining and managing current and future projects for Lenel and Interlogix, providing presentation support and meeting preparation, conducting needed research, helping develop collateral materials and updating website and monthly social media content.

Trevor says he first really learned about Power via his alma mater —and his mother’s long-time employer — Power client, Trinity High School. With college graduation looming, Trevor says Power definitely made his list of places he’d love to work, but he thought it a long shot. He says he’d heard only good things about Power. “I’d heard about the company’s laid-back family atmosphere, and I was amazed at Power’s work,” Trevor said. “And even though there didn’t appear to be an opening suited to me, I gave it a shot and sent in my resume.”

Trevor continued to look elsewhere, but just wasn’t enthused. “I got some offers,” he said, “but I wasn’t happy with the type of business or the work I’d be doing. Then an email from Power popped up, and the rest is history!”

It’s telling how often our new hires express sentiments like this, from Trevor: “Power has made me feel like a true family member in a very short period of time. I look forward to growing and being the best employee I can be!”

Power is always looking for eager, enthusiastic, and highly motivated men and women to join our family of talented professionals. Take a chance like Trevor did, and visit our CAREERS page. You just never know.
