Media Planner/Buyer

Power is looking for an experienced Media Planner/Buyer to join our team. This person must have an understanding of a wide range of media platforms (SEM, Social, trade publications, etc.) and how each supports the marketing objectives of the client. The Media Planner/Buyer would be responsible for media planning execution and reporting for a variety of clients while working with a Media Supervisor and the Client Engagement and Project Management teams.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Looking for and delivering new and innovative media solutions to client business issues and challenges.
  • Participating during presentations or calls with vendors and clients.
  • Researching, negotiating and executing advertising placement in a variety of digital and traditional media.
  • Working with Media Supervisor to create RFPs, organize responses into campaign presentations and develop media flowcharts.
  • Analyzing media placement and results to identify the most effective and efficient media mix.
  • Monitoring and optimizing campaigns to effectively reach KPI’s.
  • Reconciling media plans and handling invoicing to ensure vendors are paid efficiently.
  • Generating and presenting strategic POVs to share with clients and/or agency.
  • Fostering strong client/partner/vendor relationships by always representing Power in a professional and solution-oriented stance.
  • Staying current on media trends specifically with digital advertising components like Search Engine Marketing and Social Media platforms.
  • All other duties as requested.

Desired Skills & Experience

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience is required
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and construe reports and charts
  • Google AdWords certification is a requirement

Experience:
At least two (2) years as a Media Planner/Buyer and knowledge of the following:

  • Client facing relationships as they apply to media buying and implementation
  • Analytics experience using Google Analytics and AdWords
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, decision-making, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of planning processes and issues
